Portal 1: Energy & Body

This is the first gateway in a series of texts about Soul Economy – a way of living where your energy, your rhythm, and your truth guide you more than demands, performance, and routines. And we begin where all begins: in the body.

Energy & Body: Presence in every cell

Your body is not just a shell carrying your soul. It is the soul's form in this life. It is within the body that the soul's economy is first made manifest. Every muscle, every nerve, every breath tells a story: What you have carried. What you’ve said yes to. What you no longer have the strength to bear. This is where compromises are first felt – in the tense neck, the tired lower back, the irritated skin. Energy whispers before words know. And that is exactly why Soul Economy begins here: in listening. Not in fixing. Not in performing health – but in being in contact.

We have learned to perform. To wake up tired, to force ourselves awake with coffee when the body longs for rest, to push through the day as if life were an obstacle. We've called it success. We've called it discipline. But the body has always known something is off. That dull pressure behind the eyes. That vacant stare at the screen. That diffuse pain no one can explain.

Let us look more closely at what happens when we shift how we see. Reality does not change – the perspective, the lens through which we view it, does. And with a new lens, new ways of moving through life unfold.

Perform → Be

To perform is to constantly move from where you are to where you should be. But the soul does not live in the “should.” It resides in the now – where life is actually happening. Where breath unfolds, where skin perceives, where the rhythm of life pulses without demand. To be is to remain in your own field, whether that means rest, movement, laughter, or tears. Soul Economy does not invite passivity – it invites presence. It is a revolution in slowness. A yes to rhythm. A no to running from yourself.

Measure → Feel

We have tried to weigh our energy on external scales. Step counters, schedules, points, performance metrics – all that counts without feeling. But the soul’s measure is inner resonance. What feels true does not need to be measured or proven. What feels alive needs no comparison. Feeling is not weakness – it is letting the river of wisdom find its way through you. When you feel your body, you also feel your path.

Analyze → Sense

Logic has its place. But when it comes to your body – your inner economy – it is often sensation that carries truth first. That light shiver on your skin – small chills – when something is right. That tight knot in the belly when you go against yourself. To sense is to let the body speak before the mind, and to let its language be enough. You don’t always need to know why. It is enough to feel that something is moving in you.

Efficiency → Presence

Doing much in little time is not the same as being in flow. Soul Economy does not ask: “How much did you manage?” It asks: “What did you feel? What did you carry with you? What did you leave behind?” Presence is not slowness – it is precision without stress. It is every movement being in harmony with your energy. When you are present in your body, you are already rich – not in time or outcome, but in possibility in every moment.

I am, said the cat

Sometimes, no explanations are needed. No reasoning. Sometimes an image is enough. A whisper. A gesture from another world – reflecting what we already know in our bodies.

And sometimes it is the cat in the sun who best remembers what Soul Economy feels like. When the body no longer has to – but is allowed to – be a response to life.

The cat Morrigan lay in the sun.
The raven watched in silence, nearby.

The wind passed gently through the grass.
– Shouldn’t you be doing something? it whispered.
– I am,said the cat.

When you are in Soul Economy in the body

When we begin to live Soul Economy through the body, the rhythm changes. Here are some signs of what it may feel like:

  • You rest when you are tired – without negotiating.
  • You act when the joy of life stirs – without suppressing.
  • You let movement come from inner impulse, not outer expectation.
  • You listen to rhythms before rules.
  • You understand that “not having the strength” is not weakness – it is a signal of wisdom.

An inner map to mirror yourself in

And after you’ve rested a while in these new rhythms – let these questions reflect you:

  • What in my body feels harmonious – and what feels drained?
  • When did I last listen without interrupting my body with “should”?
  • Which habits carry the soul’s rhythm – and which are compromises?
  • Are there places in my body that whisper no – even when my mind says yes?
  • And are there places in my body that whisper yes – even when my mind hesitates and says no?

A seed to carry with you

If one thing is to anchor within you today from this gateway, let it be this:

My body is not here to endure more – it is here to speak truth in every step I take.

So carry your body gently today. Not as something to shape – but as something to listen to.

Let this be a beginning. Not of a new performance – but of a new way of being. Here. Now. In your body, which knows more than you’ve been told.
You do not need to become anything.

You just need to come home.
