My Real North was born from something self-evident: there is a direction that is our own.

It isn't found outside us. It doesn't need anyone else's approval.
CONFIDENT ENOUGH TO BE FREE
Confidence is the foundation of My Real North. It can mean staying, when stillness is what calls. It can just as easily mean the freedom to move freely.
​
To follow curiosity. To change your mind. To choose differently. To burn for what you love. To take a detour just because it beckons. And to be confident enough to laugh at yourself along the way.
​
Depth and lightness belong together here. The more confident we stand in ourselves, the more room there is for joy, eagerness, and play.
NATURE SPEAKS ITS OWN LANGUAGE
Animals and plants hold a large place in My Real North. Nature doesn't try to be anything other than what it is — trees grow, birds fly, the wind moves, a flower takes root in the most unlikely place.

Here, nature becomes more than beautiful to depict. It carries personality, humor, freedom, and vitality. Oceans, mountains, horizons, and starry skies open the perspective further, from what grows at our feet to what lies far beyond our own planet.
A LARGER PERSPECTIVE
My Real North also holds our place in a larger, galactic context. Earth is our home, but not the whole perspective.

The vastness gets to feel close, at the pace we're ready to carry it. What waits out there meets us when we're ready to meet it — never sooner.

We can lift our gaze toward the stars and still keep both feet on the ground.
THE GUIDING STAR
At the center of My Real North is the guiding star.
​
The open circle holds a center without closing it in. The star's points reach beyond the circle, and the spark at its center gives the symbol life.
​
To stand confidently in your own center, without being limited by it. To have your direction and, at the same time, be free to live it.
FROM IDEA TO SOMETHING TO WEAR
My Real North gives all of this physical form. Sometimes through the guiding star, or a simple line. Sometimes through an animal, a plant, a few words, or something quite a bit further away.

The motifs don't all need to say the same thing. They don't need to be deep, either. There's room for the beautiful, the peculiar, the playful, and whatever simply makes me laugh.

Duveroth is my larger creative and philosophical space. My Real North grew from the same ground, but has become its own brand with its own expression and its own life.
